Technology becomes more legible when considered through relationships, constraints, and maintenance rather than isolated objects.
Technology is often described object by object: a machine, an application, a protocol. In practice, its character emerges through relationships—between tools, people, constraints, and the work of keeping things useful.
Thinking in systems changes the questions. Compatibility matters alongside capability. Maintenance becomes part of design. A local improvement can be understood in terms of what it asks from everything around it.
